charming flower ephemera originally known as tobacco cards.

a little background:
as early as the 1870s tobacco companies placed illustrations in the packages to stiffen up the packaging.
the subjects of these cards varied wildly from 'uses of a lemon' to exercise instruction to celebrities and just about every subject in between. 

just lovely for anyone who enjoys the charm of flowers, vintage, nature or old papers.
